Jon Baker – A & R/General Manager
Jon - a true veteran of A & R - founder of Gee Street Records, and an integral part of the NY division of Chris Blackwell's Island Records' A & R team from 1991 - 1996. In addition, he
headed up Island Jamaica, enjoying worldwide success with artists such as Chaka Demus
and Pliers, Beenieman, and Luciano's first hit records. He later was co-president of Richard
Branson’s V2 Records.
To date, he's A & Red & executive produced over 65 albums, including classic albums for PM Dawn, Stereo MCs, Rza, Jungle Brothers, Doug E Fresh, to name but a few.
He is on call to assist, if local session musicians or producers are required, as well as collaborations with known Jamaican artists and performers.
He is currently the Acting General Manager of the hotel.
Kamron – Senior Studio Engineer
Based between NYC and Jamaica, Kamron is the 'go to' tech guy, and proficient sound engineer in all applications.
He has a rich history of working in production as a co-founder of Marksmen in NY. Marksmen’s productions include Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Jerry Wonder, Jill Scott, 50 Cent, and many film and TV credits.
Dale "Dizzle" Virgo In-house Engineer
Dizzle is a young and energetic sound engineer who graduated from the Edna Manley School of Performing Arts.
The drums are his first instrument. He is proficient in protools, logic and 5.1 audiovisual sound mixing. He can also produce a mean Dancehall Reggae rhythm!
Rose-marie Barrant – A & R Admin. and Logistics
Rose is experienced in Logistics and A&R administration - she'll be your cornerstone for each session/project, ensuring all requirements for the sessions are executed to the last detail. Rose will be the direct liaison with the label and management team before, during, and post sessions.
She has worked on various Geejam sessions including for No Doubt, India.Arie and Bjork.
Hubert Hamilton & Iyolla Douglas – the F&B Team
Bushbar Manager and special envoy for the studio guests - will mix you a mean cocktail, or just ensure your dietary needs are covered!

Jonny O’Brien – Piano and Keyboard Aficionado/Studio Consultant
Geejam’s part-resident recording studio consultant, Johnny O’Brien, has a pedigree in music that is as comprehensive as it is star-studded. Classically trained to study the piano at an early age, O’Brien went on to not only master the instrument, but became a rare talent in sound engineering and concert piano technology; in 1981 he was asked to join the Steinway company as a registered concert technician. O’Brien’s long-term connection with multi-Grammy Award winning producer Daniel Lanois, during which time he worked on numerous projects including, Bob Dylan’s “Oh Mercy” and “Time out Mind.” Over the years has worked with such industry greats as Frank Sinatra, Fats Domino, Aretha Franklin, Ellis Marsalis, Allen Toussaint, Nina Simone, and Herbie Hancock.
